A lot has been made about the subject of spam e-mails. Various estimates by media groups have put the volume of spam e-mail send in the United States as high as 80%. Globally, almost half of all spam e-mail is generated within U.S. borders.
In an effort to combat spam, major internet security firms have begun to heavily invest in preventing users from receiving spam e-mail. Frequently, spam messages contain viruses, spyware, or other malicious instruments designed to affect user systems. Other times, spam is merely an unwanted, amateurish advertisement. However, in order to circumvent the spam filters of many e-mail clients and IMAP services, spam subject lines have become more and more convoluted, avoiding common words and phrases used to weed them out from conventional mail. Randomness is interesting...and amusing.
The combinations in some spam subject lines can be funny and sort of eye opening. In looking at the subject lines of spam I've recieved over the years, they crack me up.
